In line with Vincent Van Gogh, "Color in a very image is like enthusiasm in life." The colourful colors found in my images demonstrate the wonder of the flora and fauna and aim to provide an uplifting visual experience.
Color can elicit powerful emotions. I think that a fusion of colours promotes well-being. Mixing festive heat colors such as red with applicable quiet cool tones, offers up a harmony that is felt within the soul. Color harmonies encourage a "joie de vivre," making us feel alive and happy after we read them.
"In visual experiences, harmony is something that's pleasing to the eye. It engages the viewer and it creates an inner sense of order, a balance in the visual experience. When something is not harmonious, it's either boring or chaotic. At one extreme could be a visual expertise that's therefore bland that the viewer is not engaged. The human brain can reject beneath-stimulating information. At the other extreme could be a visual expertise that is therefore overdone, therefore chaotic that the viewer cannot stand to appear at it." (See Color Matters http://www.colormatters.com/colortheory.html.) It is the task of an artist to create color harmonies to engage and delight the viewer.
As a garden photographer, I ask for pleasing color compositions that talk to 1's heart. I wish my viewer to identify with nature, to feel a passion for the world and what it's to offer. I wish the viewer to either see things and feel calming emotions that he has never experienced or I need to bring him back to a acquainted place of peace. Nature could be a source of healing and viewing its harmonies should facilitate us commune with all it's to offer.
Recently, my good friend Dr. Sara Thyr wrote concerning the colour green. [Dr. Thyr may be a naturopathic doctor and midwife. Visit her web site at http://www.drthyr.com] In step with Dr. Thyr, "Green is restful and energizing at the identical time. When we pay time in nature, not only are we obtaining aloof from the harried craziness of our daily lives, we have a tendency to are soaking up the essence of healing."
Within the garden, inexperienced combines with vibrant yellow, orange, red, purple, pink, and blue for a showy display celebrating life itself. Follow the changing colors throughout the year and experience the vitality of life alongside the passing of time. Profuse harmonizing colours create me feel grounded and alive.
Autumn is my favorite season and my favorite time to photograph within the garden, for nature never puts on a a lot of spectacular show than now. All the colors in our palette show themselves in their most vibrant forms. Good yellows, reds, and oranges serve as a backdrop for pinks, purples, and blues. Additionally, brown becomes part of the vocabulary to indicate the true which means of life --from beginning to end. I hope the viewer feels a lot of alive when viewing my images. And, I hope my images help one feel a lot of enthusiastic regarding all nature has got to offer.
Color harmonizing tips:
1. When selecting colours -- whether or not decorating your home, planning your garden, or putting your kids in complementary outfits for his or her next photo session -- choose contrasting colors. Yellow and purple, red and green, and blue and orange offset each other to make color harmony.
2. Mix completely different tones of color to create recent textures .
3. Do not be fearful of vivid color. Use accents of hot pink, bright orange, or sunny yellow to embellish your face or walls. A good blue scarf will make the colour return out in your cheeks and a painting with passionate red will make your living area more welcoming.
4. When trying to form color harmonies, start with a color that actually appeals to you --one that speaks to your soul. Add on complementary colors in several completely different shades.
5. Don't be afraid to experiment with color and you'll come upon a mixture that speaks to you on a base level.
