Lessons Learned from One Entrepreneur on Vioxx

For the past ten-months, I tried each drug from the popular Vioxx, Celebrex and Aleve, to the long-standing Percocet, Ibruprofen 800, with some other fabulous ones like Fexeril, Ulltram, Naproxyn, and Antevert. (And, this is my short list).
I hate drugs and I strive terribly exhausting to stay them out of my body. For instance, for 5 years I used to be either pregnant or nursing thus I knew the whole "What class is that this drug in?" drill.
Unfortunately, there is a time and place for everything. To help manage my physical and "mental" pain, I had to wean my baby right when my car accident, so I can strive some of these "Wonder Medicine".
[Note: My doctors like that I acknowledge my "neurological" pain. I developed an inner ear disorder (benign vertigo and post concussive syndrome) due to whipping my head around. I do not have any "mental" problems. I guess they are right, because "Psycho-Ponn" existed long before my accident :-)]
Lessons Learned From Taking the Infamous Vioxx. Tips Each Entrepreneur Ought to Apply to Their Business:
o If it's too smart to be true...it is. I hated what Vioxx and what other exhausting-core pain killers like Percocet did to me: they'd be knocked out. How on earth can I watch my girls if I'm sleeping? Solution: I stopped taking them immediately.
o Trust your gut-instinct. Years ago, one loved one was addicted (individually) to Vioxx after they had knee surgery, and another one said he could not vacant his back pain while not this "surprise drug". I used to be suspicious way back then.
o Hear yourself...even if the "professionals" say it's Okay and Test. I am seeing thus several totally different doctors, that I'm familiar with asking, "Are you sure I can take these together? Even though one says "can cause dizziness" and the opposite says "to stop dizziness"? I chose to attempt them separately, then, together. You have got to run the path and error tests yourself to really recognize what works.
o Educate yourself. If you're not obtaining the answers you wish, you need to try to to the analysis yourself. I wouldn't have taken care of my benign vertigo if I relied on what I used to be told rather than what I learned through my very own efforts.
o Limit yourself & Realize Moderation. Do not look ahead to your doc to mention "taking an excessive amount of Naproxyn & Ibruprofen can offer your liver damage...it is time for a brand new drug". An excessive amount of of anything is bad for you. Finding alternatives to a bad issue isn't invariably a smart-factor either. I have non-drug days and every one-drug days. Simply realize your happy-medium.
o Believe in yourself. I don't care how many people do not believe in you (even your loved ones), or how several annoying remarks or huffs you get. If you know in your heart that you can be better...be ready to run this road alone.
o Never offer up. Be heard and build your power network. Currently, that you are listening, educating, testing, limiting, and believing in yourself...droop in there...you'll be heard. I might've never seen the "specialists", if I did not tell my story 1,000,000 times. You need to work your method to the people who already believe in you and your mission. Persistence and patience pays off.
o Empower Yourself. Cannot notice the tools, resources, or community to share all your great discoveries? Well, then...do it yourself.
So, there you've got it. If you're not already doing all the on top of to catapult your business, than prepare for a fast entrepreneurial death.
I wasn't going to let medicine rule or take my life away. Yeah; I am still taking a bunch of them however, I control them not the other means around.
As for my business, if you haven't heard of Ponn Sabra until today...viola: I made my point.
Don't agree? Then blame it on my being "high" on medicine, I do not care. I am living!
A note to members of the family of those that died or those presently suffering: Medication are addictive. So, fight hard. The above principles are tips for business entrepreneurs, not for your fight for justice.
