Yes, its true, baby boomers are getting a bit older than they were. But the truth, who isn't? The real question is in how you are handling it. Are you waiting around at home by the fireplace hoping the letter carrier will be bringing your knitting magazine today? Or are you logged onto your dating website, scrolling through the profiles of all the people who sent you messages today saying they would like to communicate with you.
It doesn't sound like much of a tough choice.
The world closed in way too quickly on the parents of the baby boomers. Their lives were over way too quickly and there is no getting over that fact. But there is also no getting over the fact that people are now living longer and longer lives chock full of exciting things to do and learn and be.
That is a lot more fun to want to stay youthful in both body and mind than to wait for death to come creeping up on you while you are eating dry toast and tap water for breakfast. No reason at all why you can't still act like the teenager you have always been at heart.
There is a world full of exciting new things to do and people to meet and it is just so amazingly wonderful that the internet is bringing those new people to meet right to our living rooms.
You can't even watch the television for more than a couple of minutes before you see an advertisement for a senior dating service online. Yes, there are other commercials too. But just try and watch for any length of time before you see one of those where the actors in the commercials are all about 50. Good looking 50, for sure. Young looking. Fit and trim and not waiting around for someone to call them on the phone to go play bingo at the church hall.
Instead, the seniors of today are going back to college, sending themselves overseas to help other people in hard times, and finding love and friendship on the internet by registering on a few handpicked senior dating websites.
Baby boomers always were practical dreamers. Wanting to change the world for the better and inventing the means to do it as they went along. Now that the inter net has become so commonplace, it doesn't need inventing anymore and we are free to use it in the most practical way possible to find people we want to spend more time with.
What a perfect idea for the baby boomer generation. And there is no time better than right this minute to get started with an online dating site.
