Some of the strongest medicines that were used was prescription drugs. The White House will unleash new strategy to fight the prescription drug problem. The purpose of the strategy is to shift focus from law enforcement to prevention and treatment; and to administer new attention to prescription drug abuse.

Additional and additional teenagers are abusing pharmaceuticals over the nation. These drugs are typically found in family drugs cabinets. A teenager who battled drug addiction for years was followed by a reporter. She hit very cheap and tried to take her life.

She went to visit a friend. She thought she was having a smart time. However she found that she still felt lonely and worthless. She had very low self-esteem. She tried to commit suicide. When she woke up, she was within the hospital in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for four (four) days. She was told that she was fifteen (fifteen) minutes from death. She had taken Benedril, Tylenol, Aleve, Advil, prescribed drugs, and anything she could get her hands on. She does not keep in mind how she got to the hospital.

The first thing that came to her mind when she aroused from sleep within the hospital was to get high. She had been in rehabilitation before, but it did her no good. When she awakened with those feelings, she realized what she needed to do. Once being released from the hospital, she was sent to a mental facility. She had spent years abusing pills, alcohol, and pot. Now she created a call to urge clean.

She said that withdrawal at the power was absolutely terrible. She had nightmares, and felt uneasy and uncomfortable all the times. She thought that once you create a decision to get clean that things would get better, however it got worse before it got better.

Obtaining better meant obtaining the correct diagnosis. She was diagnosed as bipolar, and began to receive the correct treatment. She conjointly made a tough call to go away home temporarily. She moved to North Carolina to stay with her sister to urge removed from the daily temptations. She was given a video camera to document her recovery. She had completely different emotions every day, and when 3 (three) weeks she said it wasn't easy. She was still lonely and still had temptations.

When she went back home with her mother, changes needed to be made. Her mom put a lock on cabinets where she kept her prescription drugs. She was also concerned concerning people sending her texts telling her that that they had gotten their prescriptions.

Once forty-six (forty six) days of being sober, she says that she sees life differently now. Her first thought when she wakes up within the morning currently is what the day can bring. When she was on medicine, she says she normally felt like "crap". She was perpetually tired, and she needed to travel get high.

She agrees that she got off lucky. She says she does not understand how she has not died with the amount of medicine she place in her system. She says her addiction has left a scar that she hopes will fade with time.

She says she loves her life, she loves herself, and she thinks that she is beautiful. She might not say that before. Now she thinks she is an extremely lovely person, additional thus on the inside. She feels that each one that matters is that she is proud of herself.
