Up to now our comments have addressed ONLY the prevention aspect of the childhood obesity epidemic. However that does not mean that we don't have anything to mention on rehabilitation. It simply means that we tend to've chosen to work on the aspect where the odds of winning are dramatically better as a result of we prevent the poison from ever entering the bloodstream.

You see once the childhood obesity monster has buried its fangs into the psyche of a young boy or girl, that bastard hangs on for expensive life and it grows stronger by the day, the week, the month, and therefore the year. Breaking a bad habit is much a lot of difficult than simply avoiding it in the primary place.

For instance, if someone goes on a diet and loses a pound/day, their motivation can be sky high. If their success is reduced to a pound/week, the motivation drops significantly. But if it's reduced to a pound/month it will be laborious to work out any motivational wind in the sails at all.

In Short...

In short, nothing succeeds like success. And if you can deliver that often into the lives of youngsters who are already obese you will a minimum of stand a fighting chance at turning the tide and winning the war. If not you are wasting some time, effort, and money.
