Within the Card Game of Life Joy Trumps Worry!
I've got card taking part in on my mind these days. Eric Baldwin, a young guy from my hometown was recently named card player of the year! Quite an honor and he may be a terribly nice young man to boot.
Maybe that's why I keep brooding about poker and card playing. I was thinking about card taking part in today as I drove around city performing some errands.
My goal this year is to target having more joy in my life. A noble goal indeed if I say so myself. As I turned a corner close to my house...it came to me...in the cardboard game of life joy will continuously trump worry. I like that!
I laughed and envisioned being in a big card game tossing down joy card once joy card while people who were tossing worry cards just sat and complained.
How can I translate my huge card game always where I'm? Here is how:
We tend to all have things to stress about. A number of us might have more than others these days. Therefore the worry cards can come easy. Its the enjoyment cards that we tend to might be having trouble with. The answer is simply to arrange ahead.
Here are two ideas to urge those joy cards ready to play the best hand of your life this year.
The primary plan is to create a listing of the things that bring you content and convey you joy. Maybe you have got forgotten as a result of life has been onerous lately. Which will happen. Just start making a listing of things that make you happy. Perhaps its your partner, maybe your dog, perhaps chocolate! Your list...your joy.
Once its done you suspend it up where you'll be able to see it. Or higher nonetheless build several copies. One to hang up and one to fold up and carry with you. Then when worry pops up you simply put your target your list. For each worry card you pull out a joy card.
The second idea is to pick a image so that after you see the image it causes you to smile. I decide my image this year will be a monkey.
I like monkeys. They appear happy sitting in trees and I think they'd be bigger huggers though I have no real experience with that. Its just what I believe.
Monkeys build me smile and that brings me joy. I saw monkeys in nature when I traveled to Sri Lanka and worked with people who were living in refugee camps after the tsunami. Monkeys were living within the trees by our hotel. So this year I selected monkeys for my image (last year it was a sunflower) out of respect for all that experience delivered to me and besides they are cute!
So what happened today, the first day of the year? I saw monkeys all over! Every place I went I saw monkeys. I even picked up a dog collar and guess what was on it? Monkeys!!! I saw so many I just started laughing at the last store. And joy follows laughter each time.
So when you're taking part in the sport of life visit the table prepared. Create your list. Decide your symbol. Then remember the number one rule in the game of life...joy trumps worry each and every time!
