Hand washing is something that is done by people numerous times a day. It is one of the top most recommended things to do during cold and flu season. In public places it is done because you never know who or what was using the facilities before you were. Washing your hands keeps you clean and sanitary and with the use of automatic sanitizer dispensers, you do not even have to touch anything additional to get your hands clean and fresh.

A sanitizer dispenser is a device that automatically disburses a preset amount of sanitizer on your hands for you. These dispensers can be found anywhere but are most common in public places such as bathrooms, hospitals and schools. With these, a quick touch, or motion with some, will dispense out a certain amount of sanitizer and this lets the least amount of contact with the device to spread less germs.

Most dispensers are mounted on the wall. This lets them be off of the counter and not take up space that could be used for other items. This also lets the dispensers be close to the sink and the water faucet where you will be washing your hands. There are dispensers that sit on the counter and these tend to be a little larger in size. They are a bit larger because they have to hold the sanitizer and have a space large enough for your hand to be to use the item.

Some dispensers are motion detected and some have a button or a lever that needs to be pressed. The majority currently have a button or a lever that you press once and the sanitizer comes out. The trend is switching over to motion detectors so that nothing at all needs to be touched in the hand washing process.

When buying an automatic sanitizer dispenser, there are many options to choose from. You can choose from the button or lever type or you can choose a motion detected one. There are many sizes to choose from as well. There are larger economy sized ones for a public place such as a workplace bathroom. There are smaller ones for the everyday household bathroom or small business. There are different colors and scents to choose from also.

Most dispensers operate on standard AA batteries. The majority will come with an LED light to let you know when the batteries are getting low. The process of changing the batteries is simple as well. Take the back plate off and change out the batteries with new AA batteries. Most will take four batteries to operate.

Sanitizers used in these machines will come in bags or bottles that can be changed out. Some machines will let you switch from any type of liquid from a sanitizer to soap to toothpaste even. All that needs to be done before switching to a new liquid is a basic cleaning of the dispensing tubes.

Automatic sanitizer dispensers come in many shapes, sizes and colors. These are usually found in public places but will also work well in a household bathroom or kitchen. These dispensers are excellent at getting the sanitizer to you and letting you touch less items in the process of getting your hands clean.
