Generally as Christians we tend to hesitate to seek facilitate for our negative emotions, dangerous relationships and thought patterns. As a Christian, I feel, that a relationship with God and Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit is absolutely the means to heal. I've browse, though, on some Christian websites that God doesn't need us to assist ourselves.
Really? Typically God typically works in our lives through different folks which jogs my memory of the subsequent story.
When Katrina hit New Orleans. A rescuer during a boat came to a house and told a person to urge in and he would take him to a safe place. The man declined and said."I trust in God to save lots of me".
Because the water kept rising, the person went to the second story of his house. Another rescuer showed up in a very boat and told the person "get within the boat and I will take you to a secure place". Again the man declined and said," I trust in God! He can save me". Finally the water rose thus a lot of he had to induce on his roof. A helicopter showed up and a rescuer raise the the person to please get in, and the person replied "God! He will save me"!
Well needless to say...the man drowned. When he visited Heaven, he asked God why didn't he save him and God replied. "I sent you two boats and a helicopter!"
Being physically and emotionally healthy allows us to be nearer to God, serve our family and church as we're not distracted by physical pain or emotional hurts. So long as we recognize the Holy Trinity and visit God as the source of all power, align ourselves with God's will, and not create our selves the middle of the universe, energy psychology/drugs is very helpful and not contradictory to Christianity.
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is an simple, free approach to redirect negative emotional energy and pain. Primarily, EFT may be a short cut--a means to redirect the body's energy out of the negative, setting you liberal to be closer to God and useful to others..
For example, a few years ago I discovered something disturbing relating to the health of my Mother. I did my best not to consider it, I prayed concerning it, however it appeared that even though I failed to need to obsess, the emotions and thoughts took on a "lifetime of their own." It felt as if my brain and body were in some kind of an electrical loop, and I could not break freed from the obsessive thoughts and negative emotions. Constant prayer was not working. Looking out, I learned about EFT, applied it, and in concerning ten minutes, the emotional intensity was gone! EFT helped me save my energy for something productive than obsessive worry. It had been free and painless.
EFT does not replace prayer, religion in God & Jesus or the Holy Spirit. It is a technique to clear the physical body of emotional negativity therefore we are a lot of open to receive the Holy Spirit and grow in Christ.
