Does That Matter If I Believe The Words I Am Saying Whereas Doing Emotional Freedom Techniques?
For us to try to to work on any thought/emotion with Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) we have a tendency to want to bring it into our thought field (meaning we tend to are feeling or thinking it) at the instant we have a tendency to are tapping. That might be a very little bit of a confusing statement, so let's assume of it in terms of the analogy of washing dishes.
The sole place we have a tendency to will wash our dirty dishes is the kitchen sink. We have dirty dishes everywhere the house. They'll be by the TV from watching soccer last night, on the kitchen table from lunch nowadays, and on the counter by the sink. We tend to can apprehend were all the dishes are, but till they get into the sink, we can't wash them.
It does not matter how those dishes get into the sink. It only matters that they get to the sink. We have a tendency to can put them within the sink, or someone else can put them within the sink. Once they're within the sink we will start cleaning.
Once we do Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) we tend to need to the same thing. We have a tendency to want to get the thought, the physical pain, or the emotion into the "sink" before we have a tendency to can clean it. We tend to can recognize intellectually what our problems are, but we have a tendency to can't do anything regarding them until they're within the "sink". Our "sink" is our thought field, meaning once we are feeling the emotion it's in our thought feel.
I know my boss treated me badly at work nowadays, however it is not until I start enjoying the memory back as a movie in my head and very begin to feel my rage that I've got moved this memory into my thought field ("sink"). Once I have done this, I can begin doing EFT to induce relief.
With that as background it brings us to the question. The words that we tend to say don't seem to be magic. They are only vital in the very fact that they assist us get what we have a tendency to wish to work on into our thought field (get the dishes into the sink). Just like obtaining the dishes to the sink, it doesn't matter how they get there. All that matters is that they get there.
As an example I need to scrub up my shallowness when it involves talking to the other sex. In order to do any work in this space I would like to bring the issue of being uncomfortable talking to the opposite sex into my thought field. I have 2 choices for doing this.
First, I could right at the difficulty and faucet like this:
"I am such a moron.
I can not speak to girls,
I continually sound sort of a fool.
They suppose I'm therefore stupid.
They want I would depart them alone, because I'm wasting their time."
This is a very straightforward direct approach to the problem. Or I could take a second tack. I can use the miscroscopic voice in my head that's going to inform me I'm not worthy. Please note what the voice in my head does.
"I am a funny guy.
[voice in head: No you're not.]
I am a charming conversationalist and individuals love talking to me.
[VIH: No you not. You sound sort of a fool talking to others. You never recognize the correct thing to say.]
I am going to run up to someone new tonight and simply strat chatting.
[VIH: No you're going to be a sweaty mess and chicken out.]"
In this instance, I did not believe one factor I said out loud, but the voice in my head cited all the stuff that needed to be cleaned.
Once more, it doesn't matter who brings the dirty dishes to the sink. It only matters that they get there. In this second case, by saying things I did not believe the miscroscopic voice in my head brought the emotions that needed to be cleaned up into the thought field.
