My name is Barbara Allan. In 1988, at the age of 25 I suddenly developed arthritis. This was half-dozen weeks once contracting Shigella food poisoning while camping throughout a vacation in Michigan.

The kind of arthritis I used to be diagnosed with is reactive arthritis, since it was in reaction to a Shigella infection. (Shigella could be a bacteria, like Salmonella, that cause bacterial dysentery, that is what I had.) Several sorts of bacteria will trigger reactive arthritis. They include Yersinia, Chlamydia, Salmonella, and Shigella.

Reactive arthritis is additionally known as Reiter's Syndrome. There's an unfortunate stigma hooked up to the name Reiter's Syndrome as a result of that name is strongly related to arthritis caused by bacterial infections in the genital area, in different words, venereal diseases. I say unfortunate stigma as a result of it will interfere with being treated with correct respect by the medical community.

I assume this is often because the thought of self or others being sexual brings up unresolved feelings for several individuals, and the name Reiter's Syndrome immediately stirs up those issues. However, irrespective of exactly why, I've found that I have been treated better within the health care system once I have used the name reactive arthritis instead of Reiter's syndrome, while they are the same condition.

Though my reactive arthritis was painful for me, my doctors initially did not worry very abundant concerning it, as a result of reactive arthritis will usually times depart on its own once the infection is gone. Therefore I waited a month, but no improvement. I waited six months, and still no improvement.

My doctor then started obtaining angry at me, as a result of I wasn't obtaining well. She even refused to continue treating me and accused me of being a slacker. After another year, my next doctor conjointly gave up on me.

Thus I turned to different medicine. Turns out I used to be having an allergic reaction to the starch that was used as an "inert ingredient" in the prescription medication I used to be being given to calm the inflammation in my joints. The pills I used to be being prescribed were keeping me sick.

I used to be also having an hypersensitive reaction to many alternative foods. This can be because the dysentery and then the arthritis medicine I used to be given were thus exhausting on my digestive tract that I started leaking small bits of food into my blood stream, where my immune system started attacking them. I had definitely never had food allergies before this time.

Once I cut my drawback foods out of my diet, my arthritis went away and my digestive tract healed up.

Seems that this is often a drawback not solely with reactive arthritis, however additionally with rheumatoid arthritis. After all, I got the thought from trying at what helps cure rheumatoid arthritis.

I've learned a lot about healing arthritis from healing myself and serving to others do the same. I've you'd like my facilitate (My name again is Barbara Allan.) then take a look at my services.
