With the passage of time relationships will tend to fall into some negative and positive routines. Several of these contribute to the nurturing of the connection while others will undermine its success. One amongst the things I've got discovered over the years is that developing some rituals can guarantee that the link stays on a positive track. Although no relationship is perfect (or ever can be) and experiences ups and downs these rituals can facilitate keep the link focused on those attitudes, behaviors and feelings that you wish to see continue.
Let me provide you a few examples of some of the rituals I have come back across over the years. Some of these have come from friends, some peers and others from members of my audiences who have shared them with me.
1. Have a date night on the same day of the week or days of the month. This date night is not subject to cancellation regardless of career or different issues. It takes priority regardless of what.
2. Pay one day (or portion of a day) a minimum of once a month discussing the positives in your relationship in addition to some of the items you'd like to change.
3. Play odd and even. Every partner is either odd or perhaps (not in temperament but the day of the week, week of the month or month of the year. If you're odd that means you decision if you are out of city on odd days, even days your partner calls. Odd years you're able to choose where and when you vacation, even years it's your partners choice. You'll have some fun with this. It will embrace things like: who cooks, initiates sex etc.
4. Once 1 / 4 one partner surprises the other with a special weekend retreat. Take turns.
5. Each morning one partner brings the other low and juice whereas the other sends flowers or some tiny token that says you are special. - I believed of you nowadays and I want you to understand I appreciate you.
6. Your turn. What are some rituals that you have got in your relationship that keep it targeted, targeted and heading in the right direction?
