Now, in the first issue of this, we have discussed some of the most basics of the interior design process, which is choosing the theme. Now, we have known now that knowing what theme you want is one of the most important parts of the process, and it really forms the strong core that you need to have when you are going to want to make that dream house into a reality. Now, while this is important, you are going to have to go somewhere with this, as it is going to be completely useless when you have a theme and you do not know anything about it and you do not build from it. Now, what is important is that you should never lose any direction and that you should not lose any sort of compass from the theme that you have chosen. This means that if you have chosen a Balinese theme to be applied to your home, then you should not be inserting German elements somewhere in the middle just because you can. It really confuses the whole design process and this makes your theme really haphazard at best, and people will be able to spot this pretty easily.

The next thing that you should be looking out for is that you need to choose the levels at which the theme is going to stop. This means that while you have that Balinese theme firmly in your hand, you need to know when to stop and practice restraint when you are thinking about how to apply it to your home. You should never go over the top, and that will make the place look gaudy and a bad representation. The levels that should be safely traversed are those that range within the subtle and the medium range. You can dare to step a few steps away from that, but never more than a few. All in all, restraint is something that you need to be aware about and how that design is being placed within the interior of your place. Now, the important aspect of this is that you need to choose some basic colours and materials that will form the backbone of your interior design, and you build from there. For example, for the Balinese concept, I would advise that you go natural, meaning that wood and perhaps marble as a modern touch form the basis of your design, and then you just carry on from there.

Now, today, we have discussed a little about how you can build from the theme, and how the theme, at its most basic, should form the Petri dish where your ideas can flourish. We are also reminded by the mistakes of going overboard when you are trying to make your dream home into a reality, and this is what you really need to be reminded about at the end of the day, and this will make your home truly nice.
