How will you discover the commitment and keenness you wish to change your life and achieve your dreams? Some people wait until they feel they need hit all-time low or that they only cannot continue 'as is' anymore. Would not it's nice though to be ready to feel committed to vary while not initial having to plumb the depths?
Let's face it, however positive, committed and motivated someone we are, there are occasions when we all need facilitate to increase our commitment to change. I realize the subsequent exercise terribly powerful.
Exercise: my future life
Choose one space of your life that you want to change e.g. founded your own business, come back to review, modification career, lose weight, get match, find your soul mate, be a part of the circus, gain promotion at work, be a nice salsa dancer, breed guinea pigs. It doesn't matter what you choose so long as it's something you want.
Imagine your life when you have achieved this goal, use moving footage and sound. Use these questions as a guide:
- What are you doing?
- How do you feel?
- What are you saying? What are other people saying to you?
- Who is in your life?
- Where are you living?
- How does one look? How is your health?
- What are you doing for fun?
- What job are you doing?
- What is your financial scenario?
- What distinction has achieving this goal made to your life?
- What have you done recently that you enjoyed? Of that you are proud?
- Are you content with the changes you've got made to your life?
- Are you trying forward to the longer term?
- How do you're feeling? Are you happy? Happy? Glad?
Exercise: my future life while not any changes
Repeat the higher than exercise, solely this time imagine your life in 2, five or 10 years time if you continue "as is" and make no changes.
How committed are you?
How committed to change are you now? 100%.
Less than 100%? In the first exercise did you choose one thing you wanted? If you selected one thing you 'thought you must select' or a goal owned by your partner or a family member, rethink and choose a replacement goal that's yours. Within the second exercise, were you utterly honest, warts and every one?
Any but one hundred% commitment and you'll benefit from repeating the higher than 2 exercises.
If after repeating the exercises you're still not a hundred% committed to change, then I might encourage you to consider why this may be:
- What's stopping you from committing to alter?
- What would need to happen to allow you to commit to vary?
- Are you letting past experiences get in the means? Remember, past performance is no indication of the future.
- If currently is not the proper time to form changes, when will be?
- What do you wish (support, resources etc) to enable you to plan to achieving the life you want?
Ready to commit?
Once you're a hundred% committed to vary and to working to your goals, DO IT! Create a promise to yourself AND take one easy action NOW towards your goal. It doesn't matter how huge or tiny that action is; it will serve to move you towards your goal and reinforce your commitment.
Enjoy the method, believe me, it is price it to realize the life you want.
