Dr. Naismith, born in 1861 in Ontario, Canada first came up with the concept of basketball during his youth faculty days in the realm where he played a game that concerned knocking a rock off an object by trying to throw another rock at it. The sport clearly evolved from there and started the history of basketball.
Mr. Naismith taught at the YMCA College in Springfield, Massachusetts in 1891, where the sport of basketball was created.
